Bus vs. Truck

I’m a little disappointed to find out today that it costs less in fuel for me to drive to the office than it does to take the bus. 2 zones is $3.75, and fuel would be around $2.40.  I’d still save on parking, but only when the free spot I found 1/2 block from my office is unavailable.

In short, disappointing.

  1. Its surprising if not remarkable the calculation made herein. I would have thought public transport is to be encouraged to save on fuel costs.

  2. I was surprised as well!! If anyone else has made the calculations for their own drives/transit system, I’d like to hear about them.
