That’s pretty cool! Was it part of the Open House? Annually the city hosts and open house at their landfills and transfer stations so people can have a little looky loo and so they can tell us all the clever things they’re doing with the waste we generate.

I’ve looked through that hole. It’s a pretty cool hole. Also, I went in the control room where the guy uses a giant claw controlled by a joystick to pick up “clawfuls” of the garbage, and drops them into the incinerator. The amount of plastic bags in that garbage is staggering.
